The Kachelofen Corporation is a
primary North American producer of KACHELN, (the special tiles used in the construction of
Kachelofen masonry heaters).
These tiles, once available
only from Europe, are now being made by us, and offered at competetive prices, here in the
United States.

Our Kacheln are hand made in a
wide variety of shapes, glaze colors and clays. They will add to your design capabilities,
an architectural element that only ceramic tile can bring. In addition to the radiant
qualities of masonry heaters, a tiled kachelofen surface is beautiful, warm and inviting
to the touch, both physiologically and psychologically. It adds value and style to what
all too often can be an ordinary masonry heater design.
Our emphasis is on design and
style, and our thirty plus years of experience in ceramics, offers you a freedom to
present your customer design opportunities never before possible. We invite your unusual
and creative ideas . We have never made the same Kachelofen twice.
We offer our tiles in a
"standard" selection of popular colors. We also offer glaze research and
development to get that special color you may require. We are adapting our glaze color
selections from the ®Pantone Color Selector 1000 a world-wide color selecting system*
available thru printed, electronic or computer color sampling. This should prove helpful
in developing special colors which are reasonably "true" to your expectations.
We understand that many of you may
be new to building with Kacheln and we would be happy to do whatever we can to help you
through your first Kachelofen.
We also offer soapstone (steotite)
tiles quarried here in Southern Oregon and available in a variety of shapes and colors.
